대세지보살은 지혜의 광명으로 중생의 어리석음을 밝히고 바른 길로 이끄는 보살입니다.

아미타불의 오른편에서 관세음보살과 함께 협시하며, 지혜의 덕을 상징합니다.

2023년 이즈갤러리 전시에서 《아미타래영도》를 소장하신 분께서, 기존 작품에 대세지보살과 관세음보살을 더해 아미타삼존도로 함께 봉안하고자 의뢰해 주셨습니다.

그 인연으로 제작한 두 작품 가운데 하나로, 기존 《아미타래영도》와 자연스럽게 조화를 이루도록 색감과 분위기를 살피며 정성껏 완성했습니다.

한 점의 작품으로 시작된 인연이 아미타삼존도로 이어진 뜻깊은 작업입니다.

Mahasthamaprapta (Daeseji Bosal) is the Bodhisattva of Great Strength, who illuminates the ignorance of living beings with the light of wisdom and guides them toward the right path. Standing on the right side of Amitabha Buddha alongside Avalokiteshvara (Gwanseum Bosal), he symbolizes the virtue of supreme wisdom.

During my 2023 exhibition at IS Gallery, a collector who had previously acquired my Welcoming Descent of Amitabha Buddha (Amitaraeyong-do) reached out to me. They wished to complete an Amitabha Triad by commissioning two additional paintings—Daeseji Bosal and Gwanseum Bosal—to be enshrined together.

This piece is one of the two artworks born from that special connection. I poured my heart into its creation, carefully matching the color palette and atmosphere to ensure seamless harmony with the original Amitabha painting.

It was a truly meaningful journey, watching a single artwork blossom into a complete Amitabha Triad through such a precious bond.
